Skyfall

Appellation: Yakima Valley
Planted Vineyard Acres: 157 by 2018
Planted Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. Some blocks of Chardonnay will be added.
Soils: Sand-laced silt loam with granite deposits; there is also calcium carbonate in the soil.
Rainfall: Six inches annually.
Irrigation: Kennewick Irrigation District, using water routed from Prosser Dam originating from the Yakima River.
Interesting fact: Sykfall includes many granite features left by the ancient Missoula Floods. A granite erratic the size of a small car sits on the area that will eventually become a parking area.
A historically warm site located on a hill rise, this is an early-to-harvest area. Many vines will be replaced to realize more than 100 vineyard acres, and about 20 acres of sweet cherries will remain.
