Waterbrook winemakers John Freeman and Haydn Mouat will represent Walla Walla winemaking during this three-city excursion
Waterbrook Winery will be one of two Walla Walla wineries invited to participate in the three-city Wine Spectator Grand Tour 2013 from April 24 to May 3.
Approximately 225 of the world’s finest wineries will pour one of their Wine Spectator top-scoring wines at each stop. Waterbrook Winemaker John Freeman will welcome guests at the tour’s San Francisco and Las Vegas stops; Waterbrook Assistant Winemaker Haydn Mouat will make the final stop on May 3 in Chicago.
Featured is the Waterbrook 2009 Reserve Merlot during the Grand Tour, which Wine Spectator bestowed a 91-point score and named in its Top 100 wines of the world for 2012. This is the third time in four years Waterbrook has landed its wine on the Wine Spectator Top 100 list.
“We’re honored to be a part of this tour, pouring alongside the most esteemed wineries in the world,” said John Freeman, winemaker for Waterbrook Winery. “We are also very excited to have crowds taste Waterbrook and realize firsthand the incredible quality of Washington State merlot.”
