Seattle Times announces Andy Perdue’s Top 50 regional wines of 2013

Regional wine writer Andy Perdue recently announced his Top 50 regional wines of 2013 in an article in the Seattle Times’ Pacific NW magazine.
Within it, two in the Precept Family made the list. Congratulations to the talented winemakers, Ross Mickel and Bill Murray, respectively, who crafted to stellar wines at excellent prices.

Columbia Valley, $15: A stunner at any price, this cab from Ross Mickel of Ross Andrew Winery in Woodinville is remarkable for its price and quality. Plum, chocolate and black pepper highlight this suave red.
 
#50 – Canoe Ridge Vineyard 2010 Reserve Cherry Street Blend
Columbia Valley, $24: This unusual blend of syrah, malbec and grenache is loaded with aromas and flavors of dark, jammy fruit. It’s an easygoing red.

  1. The wines speak for themselves. One of the beautiful aspects of evaluating wines under blind conditions is discovering the affordability of some of our region’s best efforts, and Precept’s winemaking team in the Pacific Northwest continues to impress.
