The Seattle Times named its Top 50 Regional Wines of the Year in the Sunday, Nov. 15 edition of the its Pacific Northwest Magazine.
Among the rankings was #34, Andy Perdue writes of the Ross Andrew 2010 Boushey Syrah:
“Ross Mickel got his start at Betz before launching his own Woodinville winery in 1999. This syrah comes from arguably the best grape grower in the state.”
Price in the low $40 range and available nationally, this wine illustrates a variety over which the winemaker, Ross Mickel, shows continues mastery. Also the recipient of a 91-point score from Wine Spectator’s Harvey Steiman, acclaim for this Yakima Valley wine is far from over.
