House Wine is Summer-Ready

Wine in a can sparkles this summer with Rainbow Rosé Bubbles,
Grapefruit Spritz, Tropical Spritz & Lemon Lime Spritz

SEATTLE–(May 22, 2019) – Summer weather is just on the horizon, and House Wine has the perfect, portable solution for enjoying wine anytime, anywhere. Can wine reigns as the fastest-growing packaging format in the wine category. Since its launch in Spring 2017, House Wine cans have garnered 27.9% of the nationwide 375 mL can wine category.1

A true original, House Wine has consistently pushed the boundaries of consumer innovation. Named as an Impact “Hot Brand” for the second consecutive year, House Wine is one of the leaders of the 375mL can format, with the brand growing +243% $/vol and +242% cs/vol1. And flavors are key to continued success, as nationally, flavored wine is up 7% in sales volume over the past year.2

This summer, there are a trio of new flavors to enjoy, as well as a returning, limited-edition favorite:

  • Grapefruit Spritz – zesty, with a fresh sweetness of juicy, sun-ripened grapefruit
  • Tropical Spritz – fun and fruity, with notes of pineapple, mango and citrus
  • Lemon Lime Spritz – crisp and refreshing, with bright notes of sun-kissed lemon and tropical lime
  • Limited Edition Rainbow Rosé Bubbles – bright, fruity and flavorful

The Rainbow Rosé Bubbles cans are back by popular demand, just in time for Pride Events, celebrating and supporting LGBTQ equality. Once again, $2 from every case sold this summer will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). The HRC represents a grassroots force of more than 3 million members and supporters working every day to make LGBTQ equality a reality.

“Wine in a can is super accessible, affordable and recyclable – perfectly suited to the grab-and-go lifestyle of busy and active wine consumers,” says Alex Evans, Chief Marketing Officer for Precept Wine. “We thrive on innovation and are proud to continue to push the envelope with packaging, flavor trends and the incredible partnership with the HRC for our Rainbow Rosé Bubbles cans.”

“We are consistently thrilled with the consumer response and loyalty to our product,” states Andrew Browne, Chief Executive Officer of Precept Wine. “We measure brand success by velocity and House Wine is one of the fastest turning can wines in the US. We couldn’t be more excited for people to experience our latest additions.”

House wine cans (SRP $5.99 375 mL) are widely available in grocery stores and convenience stores across the country.
