Gypsy Allstars Rock Waterbrook

Tuesday, April 16 performance promises revelry

Wine won’t be the only thing flowing out of the Waterbrook Winery tasting room on Tuesday, April 16; so will sensual, infectious rhythms in a live performance from 6-8 p.m. Billed as the Gypsy Allstars complete with flamenco dancing, expect a night of music, wine, tapas and beat-infused revelry. A performer meet-and-greet will follow.

The famed Gipsy Kings emerged out of the South of France in the early 1980s when the Reyes and Baliardos families set the world on fire with sounds that were original, energetic and breathtaking. A recent all-star collaboration featuring Gipsy Kings family Mario Reyes and Georges Reyes spawned a new project called the Gypsy Allstars which explores fuses the sound of Gipsy King’s world-renowned favorites with blended “indo-gypsy music,” intermingling the gypsy music of India.

Included in the Gypsy Allstars project are: Ced Leonardi (Drums/France), Salar Nader (Tabla/Afghanistan), Mario Reyes (Guitar and vocals/France), George Reyes (Guitar and vocals/France), Alfredo Caceres (Guitar/Guatemala), Carlitos del Puerto (Bass/Cuba), Charanjeet Virdi (Indian voice/India), and Manuel Gutierrez (Flamenco/Spain)

Waterbrook Winery is located at 10518 West Highway 12, Walla Walla. Concert tickets are $25 and available only through ticketfly.com or by phoning Alisa Gilbert at 509-520-6451.
