    The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for the development of strategic initiatives driven by new innovation which deliver on Precept’s growth and profit objectives. Additionally, the Associate Brand Manager will develop, create, and implement brand positioning and programs.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Develop and execute the strategic planning process among multiple nationally distributed wine brands

    JOB TITLE: PUBLIC RELATIONS & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR 

    Precept Wine is searching for a dynamic Public Relations & Communications Director to work with our passionate team and extraordinary portfolio of brands. He or she will direct the company’s communications strategy and will develop trade and consumer communications initiatives at all levels of the company. The right candidate will have the ability to use their public relations skills and their journalistic knowledge to further grow and develop the reputation of Precept Wine and its wineries. The ideal person will possess extensive contacts and relationships in the wine public relations world, both in trade and lifestyle publications at local and national levels

    The Public Relations & Communications Director is responsible for the execution and implementation of marketing efforts, communications programs, and public relations functions. He or she will serve as a key representative while collaborating with brand management, retail and hospitality, alliances, and internal stakeholders to ultimately increase sales and brand awareness.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Writes press releases and works with media to develop story ideas and exposure for our brands/Precept Wine. Responds to media inquiries and pitches stories as appropriate.
    • Oversees media sample shipment process, from bottling to winemaker communication on readiness, to timing with brand managers respective to current inventory, to ordering in samples via wine room coordinator, working with brand managers to compile fact sheets and planning relevant media recipients.
    • Serves as a key liaison for state wine and grower commissions, travel organizations and trade interests affecting the wine industry.
    • Develops and maintains positive media relationships, locally and nationally.
    • Cultivates and refreshes internal media contact databases.
    • Provide support on copywriting for all company-based outlets: newsletters, website, labels, flyers, POS materials, etc.
    • Oversee, with collaboration of brand managers, select winery and company social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
    • Oversee event lineup and hospitality (trade, consumer, executive) with daily activation by Public Relations and Events Specialist.

    JOB TITLE: DIRECT TO CONSUMER (DTC) CUSTOMER SERVICE COORDINATOR, SEATTLE, WA

    Reporting Structure: Reports to DTC Market Manager

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Answer incoming customer service calls regarding billing issues, product problems, service questions, and general customer concerns.
    • Providing above and beyond customer service while employing effective problem-solving techniques in a team environment.
    • Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers and working to establish a positive report with every caller.
    • Updating customer information in our Point of Sale (POS) system during and after a call.
    • Work with DTC Manager to stay updated on product knowledge and be informed of any changes in company policies.

    JOB TITLE: NEW YORK & NEW JERSEY AREA MANAGER 

    This is a field-based position dedicated to selling and developing the Precept Wine Brands.  Focus will be on both on and off premise channels and key accounts.  Responsibilities include developing relationships with key customers and wholesaler sales team as well as calling on select headquarter buyers in New York and New Jersey.

    Responsibilities:

    Market Execution 

    • Provide support and follow through for key National and Regional On-Premise account programming (e.g. program execution including closing mandated distribution gaps)
    • Share execution best practices to wholesalers
    • Provide market intelligence to the Regional Manager, continuously improving Precept Wines approach to highest quality retail execution
    • Support wholesaler training
    • Develop initiatives for local and regional key accounts
    • Identify market specific business development opportunities
    • Maintain calendar of industry events, winemaker travel and marketplace activities
    • Ensure required reports and expenses are turned in timely and as necessary
    • Manage Travel & Expenses and non-price budgets to company guidelines and deliver on financial goals

    Sales

    • Achieve monthly and annual sales goals across all Precept Wine Brands
    • Visit and review a rotating sample of key accounts within area of responsibility based on sales goals
    • Support local wholesaler with selling in all aspects of the monthly focus for distribution, display and feature support
    • Assist the Region Manager in building an On-Premise annual business plan including sales, distribution and promotional efforts
    • Identify sales opportunities, e.g. compliance and sell in with planograms, feature and display mandates, distribution authorizations, and sell in and correct as possible
    • Measure the effectiveness of volume driving initiatives and suggest new approaches to improve the impact of these initiatives on sales results

    New Products

    • In conjunction with Regional Manager and Strategic Account Managers, execute new product roll-out plans.

    Minimum Qualifications: 
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience

    • Minimum four years’ experience in the beverage alcohol industry
    • Proven track record in building good relationships with customers as well as internal associates
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the NY and NJ markets

    JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION CELLAR, CALDWELL, ID

    We are seeking a qualified organized individual with previous cellar knowledge and experience to join our team.  The cellar production employee will work directly with the cellar master and winemaking staff to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly operations are completed timely and efficiently.  The right candidate will work well within a team environment, be flexible in a fast paced changing environment, able to follow standard operating and safety procedures, and help to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in the winery. 

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Harvest work that includes the operation of crush equipment and sorting fruit
    • Use of pumps, hoses, and punch down tools for fermentation cap management and must removal
    • General movement of fruit, juice, and wine to different locations throughout the winery
    • Making additions to juice and wine
    • Filtering, fining, and prepping wine for bottling
    • General cleaning and sanitation of all equipment, hoses, presses and work areas
    • Loading and unloading wine from tank trucks
    • Follow safety protocols, Standard operating procedures (SOP’s), and company policies
    • Working with barrels, racking, cleaning, stacking, and topping

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Have 1-3 years of cellar experience with attention to detail and quality workmanship

    JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR, WALLA WALLA, WA 

    Currently we are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for the bottling line team at our Waterbrook Winery in Walla Walla, WA.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Work in close coordination with the Bottling Line Manager to plan, coordinate and advise production employees of work to be completed daily.
    • Supervise the bottling line operators in the production process to insure projected case volumes are hit. This involves being a team leader, out on the floor, actively involved in the process.  Providing guidance and support as issues arise.
    • Visually inspect products and operations to insure quality of products are meeting all standards as defined by BOM and QC documents.
    • If we’re running extended shifts, double shifts, etc., the Production Supervisor must be able to work these non-standard business hours in order to for Precept to meet production goals.
    • Additional responsibilities would include assuming the Bottling Manager responsibilities when the Bottling Manager is not present at the bottling hall.
    • Oversee the line operators daily set up of machinery and equipment prior to production for efficient and effective operations.
    • Receive and resolve operations problems for production lines. Work with line operators and bottling hall maintenance staff to solve equipment issues. 
    • Engage in daily communication with management, Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse, Purchasing/Planning and all employees necessary in the operations process. This is a team effort.
    • Communicate with the Package Materials Coordinator in the Warehouse what package goods need to be on hand and staged for each day’s production. Ensure that all BOM’S and bottling line documents, along with work orders and completed accurately prior to the day of production.
    • Safety Awareness: Identify and correct conditions that effect employee safety, uphold safety standards.  Ensuring compliance to product safety procedures.  Report and take corrective actions for product safety and incidents within specified limits.
    • Carry out company GMP, HACCP, and safety policies while maintaining company policies and standards. Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce quality products that meets regulatory and company requirements.
    • Plan and direct established sanitation SOP’s while following all company policies and procedures

    • Perform specific duties and responsibilities based on standard operating procedures, good laboratory practices, good manufacturing practices to ensure the consistency and quality of our products
    • Perform quality control analysis of finished goods, and other materials as required
    • Is knowledgeable of particular scientific instrumentation techniques

    We are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for the bottling line at our Waterbrook Winery in Walla Walla, WA.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Verify all necessary equipment in place prior to bottling
    • Confirm all label height and spacing according to measurements
    • Supply all dump tables full of glass when supply is low
    • Validate case labeler is labeling every case individually and accurately
    • Responsible for general housekeeping duties and maintaining a sanitary work area
    • Complete all job functions following proper safety requirements and quality control
    • Notifying Line Lead or QC of glass breakage at dump tables
    • Take part in clean up and preventative maintenance activates
    • Work different parts of the line in a rotation accurately
    • Clean all glue off glue machine and any foreign material off the floor
    • Conduct basic inspection of all moving components during operations
    • Other general bottling line duties an assigned by manager
