“Fresh, crisp and vital, this is nicely fleshed out, with pear, green apple, lemon curd and spice flavors on a sleek structure that finishes gracefully. Drink now through 2022.”
"Old vines from Upland Vineyard in the Yakima Valley produce the fruit for Paul Gregutt’s homage to Vouvray, with four grams per liter of residual sugar and plenty of ripeness and power. It leads with attractive scents of lemon and lees, a racy whiff of white flowers. The flavors, though, are seductive and creamy, the lemon and apple notes delineated cleanly by a zinc-like mineral frame."
Don't let the high alcohol scare you; this utterly delicious wine shows not a trace of heat. It was aged in almost all new oak, and has acquired a lovely gold hue. It is lush and rich with tangelo, apricot and peach fruit, concentrated and shot through with delicious honey and caramel flavors. Immediately appealing, silky and long, this has the yum factor in spades.
