"Bright ruby-red. Sexy oak tones complement aromas of black raspberry, blackberry, mocha, spices and dark chocolate. Sweet, silky blackberry, spice and violet flavors are supported by a strong oak element. This struck me as a rather old-style Cabernet but cleanly made. The dusty tannins spread out horizontally to saturate the palate, leaving behind a flavor of dark raspberry. Finishes with excellent sneaky energy."
“Aromas of dried herb, cherry cola and barrel spice are out in front on this 100% varietal wine. The cherry and blackberry flavors are sweet and plump, showing concentration and depth along with dry, grippy tannins.”
"Malbec and Petit Verdot are the other two grapes in this juicy, toasty blend. There's plenty of black cherry fruit, and equally generous flavors of mocha and toast, all wrapped together around ripe, slightly grainy tannins." - Paul Gregutt, March 2010
Dark Ruby and garnet core with a crimson rim. Concentrated, expressive and intense; aromas of blackberry, bing cherry, plums, currants, with nuances of cocoa, truffles, baking spices, with sage and white pepper. The soft tannins and balanced acidity are integrated with the rich, viscous mouthfeel. Round and generous with great flavor intensity and a long, lingering, spicy finish.
