"Broad and spicy, with pepper and licorice accents to the dark berry flavors as they pick up momentum on the finish. Syrah blend."

Fresh and vibrant, open-textured and appealing, with cherry and herb flavors that persist easily on the deftly balanced finish.

"Ripe and fresh with rich plum, blackberry and spice; juicy, dense and balanced with vibrant flavors and a long, tangy finish."

This is an inexpensive blend. It reveals cedar, lead pencil, and rich toasted oak on
the nose. It has nice flavor on the entry, fruit forward without
a lot of weight on the mid palate but richly flavored
and a long finish. Great value.

    tasting notes

The 2016 Catalyst Red Blend opens with fruit-forward notes of dark berries, strawberries, and Van cherry. Hints of smoke, toasted oak and spices linger on the palate while a fine, integrated tannin rounds out the smooth finish dominated by flavors of dried dark fruits and spice.
