    JOB TITLE: ASSOCIATE BRAND MANAGER, SEATTLE, WA

    The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for the development of strategic initiatives driven by new innovation which deliver on Precept’s growth and profit objectives. Additionally, the Associate Brand Manager will develop, create, and implement brand positioning and programs.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Develop and execute the strategic planning process among multiple nationally distributed wine brands
    • Partner with multiple cross-functional teams (sales, production, winemaking, design, etc.) to create brands and provide strategic input towards product development
    • Analyze market, channel and category trends/opportunities and develop strategic performance enhancing recommendations
    • Determine brand focus areas through competitive set research and data, i.e. AC Nielsen, industry studies and trade publications
    • Monitor brand performance and identify new growth opportunities
    • Present annual brand plans, line extensions and launch strategies through clear and consistent communication
    • Reviewing and managing production forecasts, inventory, pricing, COGS and GP with Finance and Sales team
    • Analyzing effectiveness of pricing, programs and brand performance to present and share with key executive stakeholders
    • Developing and managing supporting marketing programs and tools, including robust calendar of activities, displays and collateral, point-of-sale and brand standards
    • Managing key brand deliverables and digital assets, including package development, selling tools, technical specifications and vintage specific information
    • Managing and developing cross-promotional partner relationships and outside vendors in line with brand objectives
    • Developing and managing budgets to effectively and efficiently execute key brand strategies
    • Ensuring compliance with all legal regulations and company policies and procedures
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years marketing experience
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, DropBox, and social channels.

    Skills

    • Strong project management skills, including the ability to take multiple projects from concept to execution, accompanied by the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
    • Outstanding communication skills, including formal presentations and one-on-one communication.
    • Creative and strategic thinker who brings fresh ideas, new perspectives, and a wealth of enthusiasm.
    • Proven ability and experience with branding and marketing.
    • Passion for wine and the wine/food experience.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
    • Acceptable/insurable driving record.
    • Available to work weekdays, weekends, evenings as required by events and business travel.
    • Ability to travel, including overnight stays and air travel.
    • Ability to drive self and others to various location.

     

    JOB TITLE: BRAND MANAGER, SEATTLE, WA

    The Brand Manager is responsible for the development of market driven strategic initiatives that deliver on Precept’s growth and profit objectives, as well as the creation and implementation of brand positioning and programs.

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
    • Three – Five plus years of consumer products brand marketing experience, luxury goods or wine / beverage experience preferred
    • Demonstrated analytical skills and experience in forecasting and marketing research
    • Proven track record designing and integrating marketing strategy and consumer brand positioning into product, promotions, media, public relations, branding and merchandising
    • Ability to execute effective project management skills within designated budgets and timelines
    • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure and to think creatively and strategically
    • Willingness to travel as required

    JOB TITLE: DIRECT TO CONSUMER (DTC) CUSTOMER SERVICE COORDINATOR, SEATTLE, WA

    Reporting Structure: Reports to DTC Market Manager

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Answer incoming customer service calls regarding billing issues, product problems, service questions, and general customer concerns.
    • Providing above and beyond customer service while employing effective problem-solving techniques in a team environment.
    • Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers and working to establish a positive report with every caller.
    • Updating customer information in our Point of Sale (POS) system during and after a call.
    • Work with DTC Manager to stay updated on product knowledge and be informed of any changes in company policies.
    • Impacting the company’s bottom line by problem solving and turning frustrated clients into repeat customers.
    • Enter orders into our POS system daily.
    • Asist with customer facing initiatives deployed through DTC channels.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • 1-2 years of experience working in a retail or customer service role
    • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

    JOB TITLE: QUALITY CONTROL TECH, WALLA WALLA, WA 

    We are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for the Quality Control Tech at our Waterbrook Winery in Walla Walla, WA.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Perform specific duties and responsibilities based on standard operating procedures, good laboratory practices, good manufacturing practices to ensure the consistency and quality of our products
    • Perform quality control analysis of finished goods, and other materials as required
    • Is knowledgeable of particular scientific instrumentation techniques
    • Follow laboratory standard operating procedures; attention to detail is essential
    • Complete and maintain all required documentation for procedures, recording work and results.
    • Monitor and insures compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures
    • Perform basic and routine analytical on tank samples, finished goods to verify accurate results and consistencies
    • Procure all supplies needed to perform required duties and notify lead/supervisor of any issues or needs
    • Keep other personnel informed as to the status of analysis, lab supplies and equipment usages
    • Able to follow all QC Department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’S) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other policies and procedures established by company
    • Takes initiative to make sound decisions in their work, communicate with operator/line lead of any adjustments that need to be made to bring quality back into specifications
    • Ensures all tasks for finalization of controlled documents are completed and saved on share drive for easy access

    • Safety awareness, identify and correct conditions that effect employee safety, uphold safety standards, notify supervisor of any unsafe conditions
    • Ensuring compliance to product safety procedures and report and take corrective actions for product safety and incidents within specified limits
    • Assist with departmental needs and vacancies
    • Perform other duties as assigned by manager

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Must be able to read, understand and comply with the SDS sheets
    • Ability to work an 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts or required necessary hours to meet business requirements
    • 3+ years assisting leads with QC productions.
    • Experience working with all major winery BoM’s structure
    • Strong organization skills and closer attention to detail
    • Prior experience is highly desirable including working knowledge
    • Ability to identify business process improvements and report existing deficiencies to management
    • Experience with authoring Standard Operating Procedures

     

    JOB TITLE: LINE OPERATOR, WALLA WALLA, WA 

    We are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for the Line Operator at our Waterbrook Winery in Walla Walla, WA.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Make a positive contribution to achieving departmental performance targets for safety, product quality and throughput by operating within specified procedures
    • Oversee daily activities of assigned shift, use high degree of concentration and thorough knowledge of the operations process to lead employees
    • Monitor, measure and adjust to help reduce labor cost, high waste, reduce downtime/change over times, increase line efficiency and throughputs
    • Assist in developing and implementing an aggressive cross training program to improve overall bench strength for all production lines
    • Ensure that all bottling line documents are completed accurately prior to the day of production
    • Involve daily communication with management, Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse and all employees necessary in the operations process
    • Plan, coordinate and advise production employees of work to be completed daily
    • Oversee daily set up of machinery and equipment prior to production for efficient and effective operations
    • Monitor production process to insure expected cases and efficiencies are met, receive and resolve operations problems for production lines
    • Visually inspect products and or operations to insure quality of products and or work
    • Safety awareness, Identify and correct conditions that effect employee safety, uphold safety standards and notify supervisor of any unsafe conditions
    • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality product that meets regulatory and company requirements
    • Ensuring compliance to product safety procedures and report and take corrective actions for product safety and incidents within specified limits
    • Plan and direct established sanitation activities while following all company policies and procedures and keep work area clean at all times

    Skills and Requirements:

    • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience
    • Ability to work an 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts or required necessary hours to meet business requirements
    • Able to work night shifts when need it
    • Able to stand for long periods of time

    JOB TITLE: PRECEPT WINE INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS 2017-2018 – MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

    Internships at Precept Wine offer a well-rounded experience of working for a dynamic, vertically integrated wine producer, while gaining a solid understanding of the three-tier distribution system. Opportunities of focus include assignments among Brand Management, Communications and PR, Graphic Design, and Field Sales. We strive to align internships with specific areas of study while scheduled to fit student demands.

    INTERNSHIP POSITIONS

    • Brand Management / Marketing – Work hand in hand with brand managers to develop essential marketing collateral and sales tools. Gain a solid understanding of the strategic planning process and tactical execution behind our nationally distributed wine brands.
    • Communications / PR / Events – Assist in variety of PR related function, including press outreach efforts, event planning and social media execution.
    • Graphic Design – Work closely with Precept Wine’s award-winning in-house design team to develop key brand tools, from packaging to marketing collateral.
    • Sales – Develop an essential understanding of the sales role within the organization, including distributor presentations, cultivating retailer relationships and exceptional field execution.

    COMMITMENT & PERKS

    • 150-hour commitment in Precept Wine’s Seattle office (10-15 weeks, 10-15 hours per week)
    • Hours may also be accrued through evening/weekend events or hospitality trips
    • School credit where allowed OR stipend after successful completion of internship
    • Ongoing wine education and tasting opportunities (for students age 21 and over)

    SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

    • Open to all majors
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills
    • Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills required
    • Demonstrated abilities in confidentiality, initiative, judgment and discretion
    • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point
    • Ability to lift and carry a full case of wine (approx. 50 pounds)
    • 21+ years of age preferred
