    We are seeking applicants for the following opportunities: 

     

    JOB TITLE: DIRECT TO CONSUMER, BUSINESS to BUSINESS MARKET MANAGER

    • Responsible for supporting and growing existing business accounts as well as sourcing new business to increase sales
    • Manage, develop and mentor DTC sales representatives and ambassadors
    • Event and program coordination, communication, execution and follow-up
    • Liaising between Production, Northwest Sales Team, and Accounts
    • Proactively manage wine fulfillment to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and State regulations
    • Drive operational efficiencies
    • Maintain relevant reporting packages to manage expenses and grow profit for Retail

    Sills & Requirements:

    • Basic knowledge of NW wine and region with interest to learn more
    • Ability to create strategy and drive results with appropriate planning and follow-up
    • Be accountable and manage team to achieve or exceed goals and budgets
    • Strong work ethic (responsive, timely, able to balance multiple priorities, detail-oriented)
    • Computer literacy: MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • BA in Business or Communications preferred
    • Strong communication skills – both verbal and in writing

    Special consideration will be given to candidates with: 

    • Previous sales (particularly retail and/or wine) experience
    • Immediate availability
    • Familiarity with Washington wines
    • Proven track record of achievement in sales and marketing
    • History of leadership
    • Management experience

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

    JOB TITLE: ORDER COORDINATOR

    Precept Wine is seamlessly integrated to run our own vineyards, wineries and world-class tasting rooms. Currently we are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for Order Coordinator. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales Logistics.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for processing purchase orders and communicating with purchasing agents and sales reps
    • Main customer service contact for the order desk
    • Assist with all end of month shipments for sales
    • Dispatching orders to freight companies as needed
    • Manage high level distributor accounts as it relates to orders, inventory management and shipping
    • High level of cross departmental communication with the pricing, logistics, marketing, sales and accounting
    • Coordinate with sales regarding order status, shipping dates, issues, and product availability
    • Oversee warehouse inventory as it relates to orders and shipping
    • Solid understanding of warehouse inventory counts and run rate reporting
    • Perform all inventory warehouse tie-outs for accounting
    • Invoicing for all orders processed
    • Maintain and communicate all wine allocations, points of display tracking, and inventory holds
    • Assist Director of Sales Logistics in projects and sample sending
    • Obtain additional information as necessary from different departments in the company

    JOB TITLE: ASSOCIATE BRAND MANAGER

    The Associate Brand Manager is an integral part of Precept Wine’s marketing team, providing support across the organization while managing market driven strategic initiatives to deliver on Precept’s growth and profit objectives.

    The Associate Brand Manager will develop a strong understanding of Precept Wine’s marketing and sales environment, supporting brand managers with day-to-day activities while providing key deliverables to sales. They will also be involved with the creation and implementation of brand positioning, strategic planning and promotional programs, as well as subsequent measurement and evaluation of brand performance.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Collaborating with brand managers/brand director on development of annual brand plans, including brand positioning, strategic initiatives and tactical marketing plans.
    • Creating and facilitating the development of point of sale and marketing materials in support of brands and related wines under guidance of brand managers/brand director. Update, edit and revise supplier brochures, sell sheets, shelf talkers and other point of sale material.
    • Partnering with multiple cross-functional teams (sales, production, winemaking, etc.) to ensure successful product development and inventory management. Collaborating on new product innovations and packaging updates. Participation in regular wine tastings for new vintage expertise and competitive insights.
    • Assisting brand managers in pulling, tracking and analyzing brand shipments and depletions data to understand retailer, distributor and channel trends. Conducting Nielsen analysis for deeper understanding of brand performance and industry trends.
    • Providing sales with key brand deliverables, including customized brand presentations, point of sale materials and samples. Assisting with sales team support, including distributor presentations and retail surveys.
    • Team lead for POS asset management and inventory system, including coordination of quarterly order window and internal management among marketing and sales. Working with multiple vendors to procure estimates and oversee the production of materials (or managing in-house POS production as required). Maintain shared drive archives, Precept website and app with current marketing assets.
    • Team lead for coupon order process, including set up, printing, tracking and reporting.

    Qualifications:

    • 3 – 5 years marketing experience with demonstrated passion for marketing and enthusiasm for wine and the wine/food experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
    • Experience in digital brand promotion and social media desirable (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
    • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, & PowerPoint. Experience in Adobe graphics programs desired, but not required.

    Skills:

    • Strong project management skills, including the ability prioritize many and varied projects from concept to execution. Quick to execute. Flexible and adoptable to the situation at hand.

    JOB TITLE: PRECEPT WINE INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS 2017-2018

    Internships at Precept Wine offer a well-rounded experience of working for a dynamic, vertically integrated wine producer, while gaining a solid understanding of the three-tier distribution system. Opportunities of focus include assignments among Brand Management, Communications and PR, Graphic Design, and Field Sales. We strive to align internships with specific areas of study while scheduled to fit student demands.

    INTERNSHIP POSITIONS

    • Brand Management / Marketing – Work hand in hand with brand managers to develop essential marketing collateral and sales tools. Gain a solid understanding of the strategic planning process and tactical execution behind our nationally distributed wine brands.
    • Communications / PR / Events – Assist in variety of PR related function, including press outreach efforts, event planning and social media execution.
    • Graphic Design – Work closely with Precept Wine’s award-winning in-house design team to develop key brand tools, from packaging to marketing collateral.
    • Sales – Develop an essential understanding of the sales role within the organization, including distributor presentations, cultivating retailer relationships and exceptional field execution.

    COMMITMENT & PERKS

    • 150-hour commitment in Precept Wine’s Seattle office (10-15 weeks, 10-15 hours per week)
    • Hours may also be accrued through evening/weekend events or hospitality trips
    • School credit where allowed OR stipend after successful completion of internship
    • Ongoing wine education and tasting opportunities (for students age 21 and over)

    SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

    • Open to all majors
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills
    • Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills required
    • Demonstrated abilities in confidentiality, initiative, judgment and discretion
    • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point
    • Ability to lift and carry a full case of wine (approx. 50 pounds)
    • 21+ years of age preferred
