    Brand Manager BROWNE & GRUET

    Precept Wine is the largest privately owned wine company in the Northwest. We’re seamlessly integrated to run our own vineyards, wineries and world-class tasting rooms. Currently, we are seeking the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for a Brand Manager in our Seattle office.

    The Brand Manager is responsible for the development of market driven strategic initiatives that deliver on Precept’s growth and profit objectives, as well as the creation and implementation of brand positioning and programs.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Developing and executing the strategic planning process among multiple nationally distributed wine brands
    • Analyzing market, channel and category trends/opportunities and developing strategic performance enhancing recommendations
    • Determining brand focus areas through competitive set research and data, i.e. AC Nielsen, industry studies and trade publications
    • Monitoring brand performance and identifying new growth opportunities across all channels of distribution (on and off premise, direct-to-consumer)

    • Developing and managing supporting marketing programs and tools, including robust calendar of activities, displays and collateral, point-of-sale and brand standards
    • Managing key brand deliverables and digital assets, including package development, selling tools, technical specifications and vintage specific information
    • Managing and developing cross-promotional partner relationships and outside vendors in line with brand objectives
    • Developing and managing budgets to effectively and efficiently execute key brand strategies

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
    • Three – Five plus years of consumer products brand marketing experience, luxury goods or wine / beverage experience preferred
    • Sales and Beverage Distributor Experience preferred
    • Demonstrated analytical skills and experience in forecasting and marketing research
    • Proven track record designing and integrating marketing strategy and consumer brand positioning into product, promotions, media, public relations, branding and merchandising

    Gruet Winery Tasting Room Associate, Santa Fe Tasting Room

    Gruet Winery’s Santa Fe location is hiring part-time customer service staff for the Tasting Room located at the historic St. Francis Hotel in downtown Santa Fe.

    COMPANY BACKGROUND

    Founded in 1984, Gruet Winery specializes in Method Champenoise sparkling wines. Founded by the Gruet family, the New Mexico-based winery produces Pinot Noir and Chardonnay-based sparkling wines and a small collection of still wines, with roots originating from Gilbert Gruet’s Champagne house in Bethon, France.     POSITION OVERVIEW

    Reporting directly to the Tasting Room Manager, the Tasting Room Associate ensures quality experiences for guests while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude. Associate is in contact with the public on a daily basis promoting and selling our products via wine tasting and winery knowledge. Associate may be asked to work wine events after normal hours on-and-off-off-site. We are looking for part-time and seasonal availability and flexibility to also work weekends and holidays.

    JOB SPECIFICS

    • Conducts wine tastings
    • Applies customers service skills
    • Ambassador on behalf of Gruet Winery to the public
    • Direct-to-consumer salesperson selling bottles and cases of Gruet wines
    • Promotes Wine Club
    • Answers phone calls, takes phone orders and messages
    • Supports winery needs at special events which may be offsite and outside of normal business hours

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Tasting Room Associate should have the ability to stand and be mobile for long periods of time and crouch for supplies. Employee will have to occasionally lift cases of wine nearing 50 lbs. The Tasting Room work environment may be a loud and busy.

     Washington Territory Manager

    Position Summary – This is a field-based position dedicated to selling and developing the Precept Wine Brands. Focus will be on both on and off premise channels and key accounts. Responsibilities include developing relationships with key customers and wholesaler sales team as well as calling on select headquarter buyers in the Washington market.

    Responsibilities:
    Market Execution
    – Responsible for sales and distribution in specified list of 100 accounts as well as developing new business in on and off premise customers
    – Identify sales opportunities, e.g. compliance and sell in with planograms, feature and display mandates, distribution authorizations, and execution
    – Measure the effectiveness of volume driving initiatives and suggest new approaches to improve the impact of these initiatives on sales results.

    Gruet – Cellar Employee (Albuquerque, NM)

    We are looking for a skilled Cellar Worker who can perform intermediate to advanced cellar operations with limited supervision in order to create sparkling wines of the highest quality.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Complete daily cellar activities (racking, filtering, blending, cold stabilizing, etc.) both still and sparkling wines under the direction of the winemaker and cellar lead.
    • Communicate as needed with winemaker, cellar lead, quality assurance specialist, and management necessary in the winemaking process.
    • Enter accurate and detailed wine gauging and transfer information on cellar work orders.
    • Responsible for sanitation of equipment and facilities in all areas of cellar activity.
    • Perform all barrel procedures including receiving, prepping, filling, topping, cleaning/sanitation, and inventory.
    • Operate grape presses and crush pad operations during vintage and direct seasonal cellar hands.
    • Suggest continuous process improvement strategies aimed at winemaking cycle.
    • Ensure all winemaking procedures are carefully followed and executed.
    • Monitor the processes in the cellar and visually inspect tanks and other winemaking tools.
    • Follow safety awareness procedures and uphold safety standards.

    The Tasting Room Associate will consistently provide above-and-beyond customer service while employing effective selling techniques in a team environment.  Meet or exceed operational standards and strengthen daily operations by working cooperatively with the Tasting Room Manager and Tasting Room Assistant Manager.

    • Provide a welcoming atmosphere and unique tasting experience to all guests
