    Retail Staff Accountant

    We are a midsized, privately-owned company based in Seattle with manufacturing, distribution and retail operations spanning several states. This is an opportunity to become part of a dynamic and fast-growing company. This position is responsible for processing daily retail transactions, inventory reconciliation for retail locations, retail revenue reporting and other duties as assigned.

    The Staff will coordinate with others in the Accounting Department to ensure reporting is accurate and timely. This position reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Review revenue data for point of sale transactions and recommending adjustments as necessary.
    • Record journal entries related to retail revenues and prepaid expenses.
    • Process daily retail sales from POS to accounting system (Microsoft NAV).
    • Monthly onsite inventory counts.
    • Reconcile retail wine inventories and retail warehouse locations.
    • Reconcile various Balance sheet GL accounts.
    • Reconcile and review fixed asset transactions.

    Precept Wine is searching for a dynamic Grape & Grain Marketing Coordinator to work with our
    passionate team and innovative portfolio of brands. The Marketing Coordinator supports the brand

    Order Coordinator

    Pricing Internship

    The Brand Manager is responsible for the development of market driven strategic initiatives that deliver on Precept’s growth and profit objectives, as well as the creation and implementation of brand positioning and programs.

    • Developing and executing the strategic planning process among multiple nationally distributed wine brands

    Gruet – Cellar Employee (Albuquerque, NM)

    We are looking for a skilled Cellar Worker who can perform intermediate to advanced cellar operations with limited supervision in order to create sparkling wines of the highest quality.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Complete daily cellar activities (racking, filtering, blending, cold stabilizing, etc.) both still and sparkling wines under the direction of the winemaker and cellar lead.
    • Communicate as needed with winemaker, cellar lead, quality assurance specialist, and management necessary in the winemaking process.
    • Enter accurate and detailed wine gauging and transfer information on cellar work orders.
    • Responsible for sanitation of equipment and facilities in all areas of cellar activity.
    • Perform all barrel procedures including receiving, prepping, filling, topping, cleaning/sanitation, and inventory.
    • Operate grape presses and crush pad operations during vintage and direct seasonal cellar hands.
    • Suggest continuous process improvement strategies aimed at winemaking cycle.

Currently we are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for a Tasting Room Associate at our Waterbrook Winery in Walla Walla, WA. The Tasting Room Associate reports directly to the Tasting Room Manager.

    The Tasting Room Associate will consistently provide above-and-beyond customer service while employing effective selling techniques in a team environment.  Meet or exceed operational standards and strengthen daily operations by working cooperatively with the Tasting Room Manager and Tasting Room Assistant Manager.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

    • Provide a welcoming atmosphere and unique tasting experience to all guests
    • Describe wines, winemaking techniques, and winery history
    • Effectively suggest and sell wine
    • Encourage wine club sales and promote membership
    • Communicate with a diverse clientele
    • Create a memorable experience for customer
    • Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash register and accounting of daily sales; processing returns, discounts, etc.
    • Provide general tourist information and assist guests as local concierge
    • Stock both wine and non-wine items
    • Assist with hospitality special events
    • Knowledge and maintenance of POS system
    • Display sound judgment and problem solving when issues arise
    • Communicate clearly, respectfully and in a timely manner with employees and manager
    • Follow all company, state and federal policies and laws

    Desired Skills and Requirements:

    • 2 years’ customer service experience 
    • 1 year sales experience
    • Must be 21 years of age with current Washington State LCB Class 12 mixologist permit
    • Wine Club or shipping fulfillment experience preferred but not required
    • A passion for wine
    • Demonstrated sales ability
    • Ability to stand, walk, and talk for lengthy periods of time
    • Must be able to work days, evening special events, weekends and holidays
    • Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions
    • Strong problem solving skills and sound judgment
    • Demonstrate strong communication skills
    • Positive and engaging attitude
    • Ability to lift items up to 40lbs
