    Office and Front Desk Manager

    Precept Wine is the largest privately-owned wine company in the Northwest operating vineyards, wineries and world-class tasting rooms in various states across the country.     Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

      Washington Territory Manager

     Position Summary This is a field-based position dedicated to selling and developing the Precept Wine Brands. Focus will be on both on and off premise channels and key accounts. Responsibilities include developing relationships with key customers and wholesaler sales team as well as calling on select headquarter buyers in the Washington market.

    Responsibilities:

    Market Execution

    • Responsible for sales and distribution in specified list of 100 accounts as well as developing new business in on and off premise customers
    • Identify sales opportunities, e.g. compliance and sell in with planograms, feature and display mandates, distribution authorizations, and execution
    • Measure the effectiveness of volume driving initiatives and suggest new approaches to improve the impact of these initiatives on sales results.   
    • Provide support and follow through for key National and Regional On-Premise account programming (e.g. program execution including closing mandated distribution gaps)
    • Share execution best practices to wholesalers
    • Provide market intelligence to their Regional Manager, continuously improving Precept Wines approach to highest quality retail execution
    • Develop initiatives for local and regional key accounts
    • Identify market specific business development opportunities
    • Maintain calendar of industry events, winemaker travel and marketplace activities
    • Ensure required reports and expenses are turned in timely and as necessary

    Sales

    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals across all Precept Wine Brands
    • Visit and review a rotating sample of key accounts within area of responsibility based on sales goals
    • Support local wholesaler with selling in all aspects of the monthly focus for distribution, display and feature support
    • Work with and assist the Region Manager in building an On-Premise and Off-Premise annual business plan including sales, distribution and promotional efforts

    Distributor Management

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent job experience
    • Minimum four years’ experience in the beverage alcohol industry
    • Proven track record in building good relationships with customers as well as internal associates
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the Washington market, the wine industry, products, and competitive brands.
    • Outgoing, self-starter, charismatic and articulate

    Gruet – Cellar Employee (Albuquerque, NM)

    We are looking for a skilled Cellar Worker who can perform intermediate to advanced cellar operations with limited supervision in order to create sparkling wines of the highest quality.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Complete daily cellar activities (racking, filtering, blending, cold stabilizing, etc.) both still and sparkling wines under the direction of the winemaker and cellar lead.
    • Communicate as needed with winemaker, cellar lead, quality assurance specialist, and management necessary in the winemaking process.
    • Enter accurate and detailed wine gauging and transfer information on cellar work orders.
    • Responsible for sanitation of equipment and facilities in all areas of cellar activity.
    • Perform all barrel procedures including receiving, prepping, filling, topping, cleaning/sanitation, and inventory.
    • Operate grape presses and crush pad operations during vintage and direct seasonal cellar hands.
    • Suggest continuous process improvement strategies aimed at winemaking cycle.
    • Ensure all winemaking procedures are carefully followed and executed.
    • Monitor the processes in the cellar and visually inspect tanks and other winemaking tools.

    • Create a memorable experience for customer
    • Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash register and accounting of daily sales; processing returns, discounts, etc.
    • Provide general tourist information and assist guests as local concierge
    • Stock both wine and non-wine items
    • Assist with hospitality special events
    • Knowledge and maintenance of POS system
    • Display sound judgment and problem solving when issues arise
    • Communicate clearly, respectfully and in a timely manner with employees and manager
    • Follow all company, state and federal policies and laws

    Desired Skills and Requirements:

    • 2 years’ customer service experience 
    • 1 year sales experience
    • Must be 21 years of age with current Washington State LCB Class 12 mixologist permit
    • Wine Club or shipping fulfillment experience preferred but not required
    • A passion for wine
    • Demonstrated sales ability
    • Ability to stand, walk, and talk for lengthy periods of time
    • Must be able to work days, evening special events, weekends and holidays
    • Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions
    • Strong problem solving skills and sound judgment
    • Demonstrate strong communication skills
    • Positive and engaging attitude
    • Ability to lift items up to 40lbs
