    JOB TITLE: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, TRI-STATE NE

    Precept Wine is the largest, privately-owned wine company in the Northwest and is seamlessly integrated to run its own vineyards, wineries, sales and marketing, world-class tasting rooms, and hospitality.  This is an opportunity to become part of a dynamic and fast-growing company. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of National Sales.

    State Responsibility:

    New York, New Jersey, Connecticut

    Primary Responsibilities and Desired Skillset Include:

    • Manage multiple states, with primary responsibility of managing key distributors and key customers
    • Create, manage and drive monthly/yearly goals and brand plans with wholesale partners
    • Manage budgets, incentives and T&E within company guidelines, to drive the business
    • Goal oriented and results driven with strong work ethic
    • Ability to quickly build strong, meaningful relationships with senior management, field management and sales reps across existing distributor network
    • Continually develop positive relationships with key on & off premise account buyers, top regional and national accounts, and brand influencers
    • Function at a high level in a fast paced, team oriented environment
    • Employ high standards of accountability with detail oriented follow up and execution
    • Deep market knowledge with the ability to quickly respond to changes in the competitive landscape
    • Confident in presenting a large and growing portfolio of wine to accounts, distributors and consumers

    Desired Experience:

    • Reside in major, metro market within the territory
    • College degree preferred
    • 5+ years wine industry experience at the distributor or supplier level
    • Strong knowledge and commitment to wine

    Public Relations & Social Media Manager

    Precept Wine is searching for a Public Relations and Social Media Manager to support the efforts of the Communications team to increase consumer awareness and engagement, with the overall objectives of building customer loyalty and generating sales for Precept Wine and its portfolio of brands.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Managing master PR calendar (short lead/long lead media outreach initiatives)
    • Coordinating media relations efforts and wine association communications
    • Managing the submissions program for wine award/scoring, tracking honors received, and coordinating promotional efforts with marketing for acclaim and awards
    • Managing media sampling and tracking media placement clippings and alerts
    • Preparing and distributing weekly Media Acclaim report
    • Managing media subscriptions and the circulation of internal publications
    • Supporting Direct to Consumer (DTC) communications outreach and events, as needed
    • Coordinating and administering website content updates for new varietals, media acclaim, etc.
    • Managing quarterly social media content calendar
    • Driving content development and posts for individual wine brands on Instagram and Facebook
    • Regularly monitoring social media sites and responding to inquiries
    • Coordinating social media influencer program initiatives
    • Leveraging outreach and events to drive email list acquisition efforts
    • Providing additional copywriting support, as needed 

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years public relations experience
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms (Hootsuite experience a plus)

    • Strong project management skills; detail-oriented, with the ability to take multiple projects from concept to execution, accompanied by the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks

    Waterbrook Tasting Room Associate 

    Precept Wine is the largest privately owned wine company in the Northwest. We’re seamlessly integrated to run our own vineyards, wineries and world-class tasting rooms. Currently we are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for a Tasting Room Associate at our Waterbrook Winery in Walla Walla, WA. The Tasting Room Associate reports directly to the Tasting Room Manager.

    The Tasting Room Associate will consistently provide above-and-beyond customer service while employing effective selling techniques in a team environment.  Meet or exceed operational standards and strengthen daily operations by working cooperatively with the Tasting Room Manager and Tasting Room Assistant Manager.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

    • Provide a welcoming atmosphere and unique tasting experience to all guests
    • Describe wines, winemaking techniques, and winery history
    • Effectively suggest and sell wine
    • Encourage wine club sales and promote membership
    • Communicate with a diverse clientele
    • Create a memorable experience for customer
    • Accurately handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash register and accounting of daily sales; processing returns, discounts, etc.
    • Provide general tourist information and assist guests as local concierge
    • Stock both wine and non-wine items

    JOB TITLE: PRECEPT WINE INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS 2019-2020 – MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

    Internships at Precept Wine offer a well-rounded experience of working for a dynamic, vertically integrated wine producer, while gaining a solid understanding of the three-tier distribution system. Opportunities of focus include assignments among Brand Management, Communications and PR, Graphic Design, and Field Sales. We strive to align internships with specific areas of study while scheduled to fit student demands.

    INTERNSHIP POSITION

    • Graphic Design – Work closely with Precept Wine’s award-winning in-house design team to develop key brand tools, from packaging to marketing collateral.
    • Sales – Develop an essential understanding of the sales role within the organization, including distributor presentations, cultivating retailer relationships and exceptional field execution.
    • Accounting 
      • Program Details 
        • Step into a fast paced accounting role with a growing company
        • Learn the basics of key accounting functions and help support team members
        • Create and update process documentation
        • Prepare materials for distributor sales meetings
      • Expectations 
        • Learn basics of accounting functions and support team members with recurring processes
        • Dive into the details of key processes to find efficiencies through process change and IT automation

        • Build hands on experience by entering/reviewing financial transactions
        • Present what you learned at the end of internship to Accounting & Finance Management

      • Qualifications

    COMMITMENT & PERKS

    • 150-hour commitment in Precept Wine’s Seattle office (10-15 weeks, 10-15 hours per week)
    • Hours may also be accrued through evening/weekend events or hospitality trips
    • School credit where allowed OR stipend after successful completion of internship
